A little bit about me
Hi, I'm Tash!
I'm the Art Facilitator behind That Arty Place!
Art has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. Even in Nursery I picked up a paint brush and painted my Minnie Mouse toy!
I always had a dream of owning my own art studio. I wrote down my plan on a piece of paper...
1. Do A Levels - check!
2. Go to Leeds University - check!
3. Travel to Australia - check!
4. Have my own art studio.......
Somewhere along the way I started to believe that working in art wasn't realistic. So I went to work in various roles in the charity sector whilst always finding ways to keep art in my life.

But I wasn't truly happy. Art is where I feel free, energised and at peace. I wasn't feeling any of those things sitting behind my desk at the office.
It was time to make a change! - That Arty Place was born!
My aim is to create a creative community where everyone feels welcome. A place for adults and children to try something new, get away from their screens and simply enjoy being creative.
I am also currently doing a short Therapeutic Arts course to learn more about mindfulness art practices to incorporate these into my workshops.
I might not have my own studio just yet, but I'm working towards that dream. Maybe one day That Arty Place will have its own arty studio - or even an arty cafe! Whatever it looks like, I'd love for it to be a place thay brings people together through creativity.
