About the event
A creative, collaborative art workshop inspired by this year’s International Stammering Awareness Day theme, Shades of Stuttering. (You don't need to stammer to join us - everyone is welcome!)
What does it mean to be heard?
Threads of Conversation is a relaxed, creative afternoon where we’ll explore this question through art, colour, texture and textiles - while creating something together.
You’ll be invited to create your own small contribution using fabric, ribbon, wool and other materials. You might use colours, patterns, words, symbols or textures to express what being heard means to you. There’s no right or wrong way to respond, and you definitely don’t need to consider yourself “good at art”!
Throughout the session, Tash from That Arty Place will guide you through the creative process, share examples and demonstrate different ways you can bring your ideas to life.
Once you’ve created your piece, you’ll add it to a large mesh…

Your ticket includes all materials, refreshments and your place at the workshop, with the majority of proceeds going directly to STAMMA to support people who stammer and raise awareness of stammering.
